For natural reasons, much of the interest so far has revolved around Karlatornet. After all, we’re talking about the tallest building ever in the Nordic region. But Karlastaden has so much more. There are blocks with flats, including both rentals and tenant-owner cooperatives. Most of these are a more standard height above ground. It also has everything you could need for living the good life.
Preschool, medical centre and a school are being built here. A hotel, restaurants and shops contribute to a good quality of life in the area. And despite densification, there is also room for green areas and common outdoor spaces, like playgrounds and squares. It is all practically made for an active, highly social life outside the home.
Underground parking will be available; keeping cars off the streets is both practical and attractive. And if for some reason you want to leave Karlastaden, public transport connections are abundant. Bus, ferry or tram – the choice is yours! Karlatornet may be tall, but the setting is downright lofty.
